Heather’s Hot Couture is a partnership between Heather Farry and her mom, Lois.  What began out of necessity when Heather and her sister Robin were showing their horses as youths planted the seeds for the company as it exists today.  People always seemed to notice and compliment their clothes, often saying things like “I’d like that, can I get it in red?”  Through the years they always talked about doing show clothing as a business “some day.”

Heather has always had a love for animals, art and design.  Raised in northern California in a family that loves the outdoors, throughout her youth she was continually producing paintings and drawings of many types and designing the most fantastic clothing in her sketchbook.  She always fit these activities in with Girls Scouts, cheerleading, riding, camping, boating and snowboarding.  Deciding in high school to pursue a career in fashion design, Heather graduated from California College of Arts & Crafts in 2004 with a BFA in Fashion Design.

Lois has always been an outdoor girl who enjoys her family and pets.  She enjoys camping, boating and trail rides.  She started sewing at age 7 and has created many types art and design, including leatherwork, stained glass and jewelry.  Leaving the business world of San Francisco to raise a family when Heather was born, Lois became a full-time mom until 2000, when she returned to work full-time and built a successful career in real estate.

After Heather’s graduation, “some day” was finally here.  It was time to try their idea:  combining their skills to create beautiful equestrian show clothing.  They created some designs to test the market in northern California, their local area.  The response was so good they couldn’t keep up with the demand, so with the support of their family they decided to leave their careers and go forward to form a company to create couture show clothing.

Heather’s Hot Couture is located in northern California.  After an extensive search they found just the right employees to complete their team:  Bonnie, with years of experience as a professional designer and seamstress.  Yuko, a master pattern-drafter and Ana with her incredible sewing staff complete the team to create all the beautiful designs.  Heather’s Hot Couture is truly a collaboration of the talents of many to bring you unique couture show clothing.
