Fraud: We check all orders very carefully and do not ship orders until payment is cleared or authorized. Generally, we require all orders are shipped to the same address as that associated with the credit card. We also impose additional methods to prevent fraud with the latest technology available associated with online shopping. In addition, when you place an order your IP address, date, and time is collected. An IP address can be tracked to the computer used to place the order.

International orders:  We ship within the United States.  Sorry, no international orders.

Order Processing:  This website is monitored Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. PST.  No orders are processed or inquiries responded to outside of business hours. 

Payment Options:  Payment may be made via credit card. We accept VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

Privacy and Security:  Your privacy is very important to us. We do not distribute your personal information to third parties for any purpose.  We appreciate your interaction with us and we are committed to protect your personal information as we would our own.

heathershotcouture.com uses industry standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption to protect data and during transmission. SSL ensures that communication, personal information is not tampered with during transmission. SSL encrypts or scrambles any information sent from you making it virtually impossible to tamper with. The information is unreadable should anyone try to intercept it.

In addition, when you send a payment using Paypal, the recipient won't receive sensitive financial information like your credit card or bank account number. This way, you don't have to worry about paying people you don't know.

Returns/Refunds: Returns are allowed only for items purchased from The Hot Rack and the Custom by Heather Boutique.  Items must be returned to us within 10 days of receipt in the original packaging.  The item must be in new condition, unworn and with tags attached.  Failure to meet any of these requirements will result in our right to not accept the return. 

All items being returned must have a prior authorization.  Please contact us for an authorization number.  Credit will be issued to the card used for payment.  Shipping costs will be deducted from the refund amount.

Deposits on ordered items are non-refundable.  Payment of balance on ordered items is due within 30 days of notification of completion.  If balance not paid within 30 days, the item will be placed for sale unless other arrangements are made.

Sales Tax:  A sales tax of 8.25% will be charged to all orders shipped within California.

Shipping: Standard shipping within the continental United States is included and is via USPS.  Faster shipping is available at the customer’s expense.

Special Offers:  Heather's Hot Couture will occasionally offer special promotional discounts and offers.  To take advantage of special offers, discount codes must be entered during the check-out process.  If the code is not entered, the discount will not be applied. Discounts cannot be applied after the order is placed.

Warranty
Heather’s Hot Couture warrants all garments to be free from defects in materials and workmanship upon delivery.   If any defect is found, Heather’s Hot Couture will repair the garment or make a refund.  As each garment is unique, it is unlikely it can be recreated with the same materials.

Please understand that our designs are all one-of-a-kind and the garments are all handmade.  We consider them wearable art.  Applique work from original drawings, cut by hand,  is never completely uniform in appearance.  That is our intent.  The textiles used, including leather, vary in color and finish.  We provide  with each garment a supply of the embellishments used as some shedding of these is normal during the life of the garment.   These can be reapplied with leather glue to leather and craft glue to cloth.
